In April 2007 we will start delivery of a new sickle shaped
3W fan blade. The project is on schedule and we have done the first trial
castings. The picture shows a 6-bladed 3W impeller together with our
Production Manager Christian Juhl, who was
attending the trial run of the new mould.
The blade has the same length as the 9W blade (1980mm in a 10 bladed hub),
but will have a larger pressure capability. This allows a slower speed,
reducing the noise. The curve below shows a comparison between a 1872/4-8/45/3W and a 1872/8-8/45/9W at 750rpm.
